FRANCES Knitwear is an independently-owned, unisex clothing brand, based in Los Angeles. Founder and California native Frances Richardson is a textile designer & knitwear specialist with a passion for sustainability & bright colors. 

Everything on this website is touched by the hands that design it. Fueled by the overwhelming statistics of fast-fashion waste, her designs carefully ensure that each step of the process is eco-conscious. The yarn is the most important part of this process. We source used knitwear and deconstruct, unravel, hand-dye and re-spin old pieces to create recycled yarn for each design. This means that every piece is one of a kind.
